Port Andratx, also known as Puerto Andratx or Port d'Andratx, is part of the district of Andratx, an area of some 82 km2 in the extreme south-west corner of Mallorca. Approximately 35 minutes from the airport, the municipality encompasses the quaint artists’ haunt of S'Arracó and the coastal village of Saint Elm, overlooking the stunning island nature reserve of Sa Dragonera. From the sea, the south-west coastline is a diverse mix of beautiful beaches, dramatic headland and sheltered bays with inviting, clear water in which to drop anchor.

PORT D'ANDRATX

Abounding with upmarket boutiques, interior design shops, art galleries and glamorous waterfront bars, cafés and restaurants, Port Andratx is one of Mallorca’s most desirable locations. Despite its deserved popularity with film stars and the yachting fraternity, it retains much of its original charm. It is still a working fishing port and the famous summer fiestas of La Virgen del Carmen and Nit de Foc are very much in keeping with local historical tradition. A wide, pedestrianised walkway extends from the main restaurant and shopping area to the opposite side of the port, which is home to more restaurants, a small beach and the Club de Vela (´sailing club´) which caters for yacht berths of up to 28 metres.

AROUND THE CORNER

The nearest beach club Gran Folies is just a few minutes away in Cala Llamp and accessible from Villa Kerida by boat or car. Continuing round the coastline, the nearby smaller resort of Camp de Mar has a sandy beach fringed by palms and relaxed beachfront restaurants, whilst the busier resort of Pageura offers a contrast of pretty little coves and a wider range of shops, bars and restaurants.

A further 20 minutes down the coast, Port Adriano boasts some of the largest mega-yacht berth space in the Mediterranean and its commercial area, designed by Philippe Starck, offers designer shopping and excellent fine dining options. Continuing around the coastline past the renowned bays of Portals Vells and Cala Falco, Calvia Beach Resort is home to the world-famous Nikki Beach plus an exciting variety of nightlife.
